Summary:
Positive student-teacher relationships are foundational to developing classrooms where students respect authority, themselves, and fellow students. With mutual respect in the classroom, students feel free to risk learning new skills and to share their own ideas. Students who are held accountable in a loving way gain confidence, maintain focus, and accept responsibility for their learning and their actions.
In this workshop, teachers will be trained in strategies that will foster a classroom environment of mutual respect and positive student teacher relationships. Additionally, techniques for goal setting, teamwork, and parent-teacher relationships will be emphasized.
