    Workshop overview:
    The participants will explore curricular issues and challenges confronting principals in the 21st century.  This session is to help broaden individual vision of possible futures as the school leader (principal) and to have "take away" of some tried and true leadership techniques.  We will practice strategic thinking and dialogue with at least three books as our reference point.

    • The Answer to How is Yes by Peter Block
    • The Global Achievement Gap by Tony Wagner


    F. Jane Cobia
    F. Jane Cobia is currently the chair of the Department of Education at the Shorter College in Rome, Georgia.  She teaches curriculum, methodology, and seminar classes.  Over the past 28 years, Jane has had a wide range of experience in education, from being an instructor, to an educational specialist, to Assistant Superintendent, to Coordinator of Career and Technical Programs, to Superintendent of a district in Alabama.  Dr. Cobia holds many positions with educational associations and currently sits on the International Board of Directors with ASCD.
