Texas ASCD Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests for Texas ASCD professional learning events must be received in writing via email to texasascd@txascd.org ten business days before the start date of the event or the cancellation deadline posted on the event’s website. Requests for refunds will not be honored after this date. Texas ASCD does not accept mailed, faxed, or phone call cancellations. Individual cancellation fees are $50 for institutes or two-day academies, and $75 for six-day academies and conferences. Team cancellation fees are $75 for institutes or two-day academies, and $150 for six-day academies and conferences.

If you must cancel, Texas ASCD encourages you to send a substitution in your place at no cost. Substitutions can be registered by modifying your existing registration or by emailing texasascd@txascd.org before the cancellation deadline.

Once the event cancellation deadline has passed, no refunds will be given for any reason. Refunds are not granted for illness, death, perceived quality of an event, acts of God, pandemics, severe weather, acts of terrorism, loss of employment, travel-related problems, technology-related problems, or accidental registrations. Refunds are not granted for not attending, late arrival, partial attendance, or early departure. No-shows will be billed for the full registration fee and will not be given a refund.

Refunds will be issued only for paid invoices. Refunds will be issued by check to the individual’s affiliated organization no sooner than thirty (30) days after the final day of the event.

Texas ASCD reserves the right to cancel any registration at any time, for any reason. If your registration is canceled, you will be issued a refund up to the full price that you have paid, and the cancellation fees will be waived.

Please note that Texas ASCD does not reimburse registrants for travel or other expenses. Texas ASCD recommends that you do not purchase nonrefundable airline tickets or make non-refundable hotel reservations. If you choose to do so, you are responsible for all terms and restrictions.

Texas ASCD does not give refunds for exhibit hall space at any of our events.
