Presentation Date:

Why does Texas need a whole child approach to teaching, learning and community involvement? What does it require? The ASCD whole child philosophy is based on the broad concept that in order for a student to be educated successfully, he/she must be HEALTHY, SAFE, ENGAGED, SUPPORTED, and CHALLENGED--descriptors embedded in the five whole child tenets. This webinar will provide a brief overview of the five tenets and selected indicators. Participants will also learn why Texas ASCD partnered with ASCD to make the case for educating the whole child and how you can become an endorser of whole child education in Texas at no financial cost.
