Instructional aides play an increasingly critical role in the classroom, supporting the teacher and helping students learn both academically and behaviorally. Therefore, instructional aides must understand how to best support the teachers and the students. Texas ASCD is ready to help.
In this academy, instructional aides will meet virtually to receive training on building a solid relationship with the teachers they are supporting and developing a cadre of instructional strategies to use when working with students in small groups. There will be a total of 12 one-hour sessions.
